"10 Bad B**** Anthems: Songs That Empower and Energize"

Sometimes, we have those days when someone or something has made us forget just how great we are. For those moments, I have compiled a list of songs that help remind me that actually, I am a bad b****! and maybe they will help you too.

CHINCHILLA- Little Girl Gone

This song, to use a modern expression is an 'absolute banger'. This is an anthem for anyone who is fed up with being underestimated and has reached the end of their tether. It is a brilliant song and never fails to give me an energy boost. CHINCHILLA has also recently released a new song called 'Mf Diamond' which is absolutely worth a listen.

Lordi- Hard Rock Hallelujah

Lordi rose to fame with this song in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest and it swiftly became one of my favourite motivational rock anthems, and Lordi one of my most listened to bands. I watched them live last year and the song was just as great as it was back in 2006.

P!nk- All I Know So Far

Full honesty, I cried when I first heard this song because it is just full of powerful imagery, plus Cher appears in it! P!nk wrote this as a letter to her daughter and it is about dealing with life experiences, especially as a woman in the music industry and it is both thought-provoking and well-written.

Bloodywood ft. Raoul Kerr- Jee Veerey

This song came out in 2018 and is an original Indian folk Metal song about battling mental health and not being ashamed of the journey. After the success of this song, Rauol Kerr officially joined the band and they have since gone on a sold out world tour, helped provide people with fully paid counselling sessions and released their first debut album in 2022.

Ren- Hi Ren

Ren is to put it simply, incredibly talented, I first listened to him in lockdown and he quickly became another of my favourite artists. Ren has been battling a mixture of disorders including Lyme Disease, Chronic Depression, ADHD and some Psychotic episodes and he wrote this song to show others what it is like in his head! Yes, the song is dark, but it is a piece of art, about hope and moving on with life.

In This Moment- Sex Metal Barbie

To be frank, I love pretty much all of the songs from In This Moment, but this one particularly stands out to me. This song was written by the lead singer Marina Brink about the hurtful and hypocritical comments written about her on the internet.

Dolly Parton- Backwoods Barbie

Look, of course, I had to get a Dolly Parton song in here! This song is just a brilliant, catchy tune about being judged for your appearance, but ignoring those people and just carrying on.

Xandria- The Lioness

This song was released seventeen years ago but is still one of my favourites from Xandria, a Symphonic Metal Band. The vocals are soft, but the lyrics show nature's beauty and devastation.

Britney Spears- Piece of Me

I do not need to introduce Britney, everyone knows who she is! This song was written and released during her breakdown in the album 'Blackout'. 'Piece of Me' is a finger up to the media, which is apt considering what was going on in Britney's life at the time!

Jessie J- Do It Like A Dude

This song is ridiculously catchy and is about equality and not putting each other down. This song came out thirteen years ago, but still seems fresh. There are also some great make-up looks in this video.
