Yesterday evening, Out There Arts hosted their Community opening for The Ice House, a recently refurbished Grade 11 building with an original thatched roof. For many years it stood empty, but has now been given a new lease of life.

Great Yarmouth was transformed last week by the Out There festival, with lots of free acts, bright colours and shows everywhere, it was a treat to behold. This act was absoloutely mesmerising, we spent about twenty minutes watching the tighrope walkers navigate a stranded spinning top. They made it look so easy (despite the fact it obviously wasn't) and I was fascinated.

From celebrity guests Q&A's to Disney Princess Sing Alongs, handcrafted goods, and backdrops and props to pose with, there was something to keep all amused. The popular event gives fans a place to be truly themselves and celebrate their love of films, games, television shows and comics together.

The exhibition is on until Friday 16th May and features local history displays. Some of the highlights include items from the Ecclestone Collection, the Gorleston Library Archive Collection, and information about the Augustinian Priory.
