Is 'Llamageddon' a joke?

'Llamageddon', the low-budget Sci-Fi horror film about a killer Llama who takes revenge on a group of partying teenagers in Ohio, completely ridiculous or a future cult classic?

The world of horror films is filled with cult classics: 'Brain Dead', 'Sharknado', and 'Evil Dead' to name a few and there is nothing better than watching a ridiculous horror-comedy clearly made on a small budget yet is ridiculous enough to be entertaining.

'LLamageddon' directed by Howie Dewin and released in 2018 is certainly a memorable film. The combination of animation (which was rather good), explosions, and awkward comedic lines which litter the film (somewhat reminiscent of 'The Room') and suggests that the team clearly knew what effect they were going for and knew it would be very silly but decided to continue on their chosen path regardless.

With a budget of just under $3,000 'Llamageddon' certainly manages to pack many special effects, props, and fake blood into the film which results in chaos and some interesting scenes, one that sticks in the mind is the hot tub scene which has the potential to be one of the most poorly acted death scenes in the low-budget horror industry, which is truly quite a feat.

A mention should also be given to the obnoxious character 'Dan' whose shirt changes over thirty times throughout the film and to the camera angles and shots that pay homage to 'Evil Dead'.

To conclude, it is fairly certain that 'LLamageddon' will become a cult classic. Indeed, it is silly and painfully awkward but so were some of the original Hammer Horror films and they are still being watched and spoken about today!
