Our Queen- Dolly Parton

Well I'm sure you have all heard the news by now, we have lost a an icon. Dolly Parton helped pave the way for so many women in this world.

The irony is that Dolly probably wouldn't want us to be sad, she would likely just want people to continue living their life in a meaningful way. Dolly wanted people to be loved and know they were loved and in this world sometimes, that is a rare thing.

Dolly Parton truly was an icon. I know the word is overused sometimes, but she helped countless people all over the world and I hope that her memory is cherished.

I have been a fan of Dolly for a long time, she is the reason that my cat is called 'Dolli Duke Purrton'.

It wasn't just about her music though. Obviously, she was a fantastic songwriter but I just really loved her for her character and for all her acts of charity. Instead of hoarding her wealth, Dolly used it to make the world a better place and provide support.

I loved how open she was about her plastic surgery and she wasn't afraid to share her opinions when necessary, Dolly stood up for what was right.

Dolly worked so hard to get to where she was but she never forgot those who helped her. I know I have certainly been very influenced by her over the years. Not just in terms of music, but her work always inspired me to try and do my bit for the world.

I really wanted to visit Dollywood on the opening day of the season, because that is when Dolly Parton would often ride through the crowd in a flower encrusted carriage like an absolute Queen, I will still go one day though.

Not much else I can say, except thank you Dolly for everything you did for the world. An icon is gone but at least Dolly can finally rest, she missed her Carl.

We can all continue to try be like Dolly Parton and spread love in the world and not be tricked into hatred and violence .
